Registered Psychologist in NSW

Smrity Sharma is a Registered Psychologist and Founder of Breathe-In Psychology. With years of experience in the field, she is committed to provide a well-rounded therapeutic approach that combines mindfulness and cognitive strategies. Smrity’s compassionate and tailored approach ensures that each client receives the support they need to navigate their unique challenges and work towards healing and personal growth. She has a keen interest in OCD, trauma, complex trauma, and developmental psychology. Smrity sees children, teenagers, young adults for individual therapy.

She prioritizes a client-centered approach and is committed to providing gender-affirming care. Currently, she is working towards attaining Individual Schema Therapy for Adults accreditation through The International Society of Schema Therapy (ISST). She is a full member of ISST, Psychological Society of Australia (APS) and approved counsellor of Victims of Crime.

She provides evidence-based practices; i.e Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focussed Brief Therapy (SFBT) and Schema Therapy; all these therapies are recommended by APS, Medicare, World Health Organisation as effective therapies.

She also provides services under the following funding organizations:

  • Private Health Insurance
  • National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) :
  • Provide counselling to NDIS self-managed or plan managed. I would require a copy of your approved NDIS plan.
